Hello, my name is Mrs Robertson. I have been a primary teacher from 1996, and was a headteacher at two other local schools prior to joining the fantastic Rattray team in August 2019. My favourite subjects to teach are Maths, Geography, Scots History and PE. I really enjoy getting the chance to coach Basketball too. When I do have time to relax, I like to spend time with my husband, my three daughters (two of whom are also primary teachers) and our two dogs. We like walking, cycling, going to concerts, watching football and getting outdoors as much as possible.
Mrs F McCarthy
Acting Depute Headteacher
Hello, my name is Mrs McCarthy and I have been teaching since 2012. In a previous life I was an architect but fell in love with teaching whilst helping at my children’s school and this journey has led me back to Rattray where I once was a pupil. I enjoy providing opportunities for children to discover their own skills and supporting them to flourish into confident young people. In my spare time I enjoy walking, drawing and skiing with my family.
Mr C Brown
Depute Head
Hello my name is Mr Brown and I am Deputy Head at Rattray Primary. I love getting children thinking and active, and since joining the school in 2016 I have worked at helping children learn how they learn, and developing a “Growth Mindset” that allows them to attack challenges and new learning with hope and support. Part of my job is to make sure that the correct support is available at the correct time for those children who need it. That way we all work to ensure that “Together We All Can”.
