⚽ Sporting and World Cup Celebrations at Rattray ⚽
On the back of a fantastic Scotland World Cup Victory in the very early hours of Sunday morning zzzzzz
We are looking forward to a fun-filled week of sporting and World Cup celebrations across the school!
Every lunchtime (starting tomorrow) until the summer break, we will be running a world cup highlights club where interested children can see the highlights of games played through the night that they have missed.
Obviously our first one will focus on the Scotland game!
Wednesday 17th June – Our sports day will take place at Davie Park from 1.30pm (weather permitting). The children should wear their house colours.
Thursday 18th June – We will be visited by CeCE entertainment for a world cup themed disco/karoke. Children can come to school wearing national colours, not club football strips
Friday 19th June – World Cup Festival
In preparation for Scotland’s next big game against Morrocco
On Friday afternoon, we will be holding a special World Cup Festival.
Children will take part in a range of activities alongside our own football world cup, including:
- Face painting
- Hot dogs and ice poles
- World Cup craft tables
- Chill zone (with music and headphones)
- Photo zone
- Tattoo station
- Karaoke
- “Beat the Goalie” challenge
We will also be running a mini tournament throughout the day, building up to our grand finals in the afternoon.
The festival will take place
outdoors in the playground (weather permitting). If the weather is poor, activities will move indoors and classes will be timetabled to visit.
Each child will receive a
festival wristband to access the activities.
What to wear: Children are encouraged to come dressed in
national football colours again on Friday.
We’re really looking forward to a fantastic week and celebrating together —
Go Scotland!
