Headteacher's Welcome Message

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the website of Rattray Primary School. Some of you may already be familiar with our school, others we welcome for the first time.

The basic aim of Rattray Primary School is to provide the best education possible for all our pupils. We are very proud of our school and the warm, positive ethos it provides. Learning is at the heart of everything we do.  We understand the importance of creating an environment which is secure, trusting, productive and happy, where our pupils can achieve their potential through learning experiences that are enjoyable and purposeful, and which take account of an individual’s needs and interests. At Rattray, we aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum, which enhances the all-round development of our pupils. We also recognise the importance of developing the qualities and skills necessary for children to cope and indeed thrive in an ever-changing world.

Rattray is a very special school with a real family feel about it.  You notice our school vision 'together we all can'.  This was developed with parents and pupils and emphasises our focus on working in partnership with parents/carers and our local community. At Rattray we strive to promote and develop our core values which are Learning, Included, Nurtured and Kind.  If you notice, the first letter of these values spell out LINK.  We work hard to help  children make links across their learning and to make sure that we, as a school link with our parent groups, our partner services and our fantastic community.

Lunch Menus

Dear Parent,
Please find attached the new lunch menus which will commence immediately  after the Easter break.
Unfortunately, as part of the 2024 Council Budget (Perth and Kinross Council Budget Meeting) it was agreed that for the 1st time in a number of years there would be an increase in the charge for school meals.  The increase recognises the significant impact of inflation on food and the associated costs involved in the school meal service over the past few years.
This is the 1st increase in school meal charges across Perth and Kinross Council since 2018.
With effect from the 1st April 2024 the cost of a school meal will rise as follows for paying pupils and visitors.

Primary                             £2.25

And for further advise on other benefits and the cost of living please look here - Benefits and advice - Perth & Kinross Council (pkc.gov.uk)
If you have any queries in relation to school meals in Perth and Kinross please contact the ECS Contracts Team @ ECSContractsTeam@pkc.gov.uk
.
 Kind Regards

Joanna
